Guy behind the curtain

I am sure we all can recognize  Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates and Steve Jobs not only by name but by face too. Now let me see if you know Tim Berners-Lee..No idea ..Exactly!

Sir Tim Berners-Lee is English computer scientist who invented the World Wide Web. In 1980, while working at CERN, the European Particle Physics Laboratory in Geneva, he first described the concept of a global system, based on the concept of 'hypertext', that would allow researchers anywhere to share information. He also built a prototype called 'Enquire'.

His ideas lead to worldwide communication. He developed a language that called HTML(HyperText Mark-up Language ) which till date is used for web programming. He also developed URL (uniform resource locator) which helps to locate documents inline and HTTP(Hypertext Transfer Protocol ) which helps to share documents in internet. In short he developed Internet. He gave world first website W3C(World Wide Web Consortium).

The greatness of Tim lies in the fact he always wanted free interchange of information among millions and millions of people. He was not after money or in favor of commercializing his invention. He never even applied for patent (Facebook and Microsoft are patented).

Had he only patented that he would earn for every single person using internet today and for sure the list of richest people in the world would have been quite different.

And the fact that agitates me is Tim has never been even nominated for Nobel Prize. The criteria for nomination is so vague for that prize and it is all governed by some American assholes. All Swedish government is American puppet!

What Nobel committee  says is his invention doesn't fit into any traditional sciences meaning Physics,Chemistry or Biology. Now you know why I used the term asshole. Even Noble himself was alive he would have given it to Tim.And we should not forget the fact had he only patented the concept he would have set himself an equivalent for Nobel peace Prize.Tim Berners Lee is still working for improvement of internet.

Anyone who has lost track of time when using a computer knows the propensity to dream, the urge to make dreams come true and the tendency to miss lunch.~Tim Berners Lee
